Get on DART.org & get onboard -- FREE!
Wrap Up Summer with a Free Ride to Fun, August 24-30
It won't be long until the lazy, hazy days of summer give way to the back-to-school rush. But there's still time for a final fling, especially when you can take it on DART, and get there for free.
From August 4 to August 10, visitors to DART's website, DART.org, can receive a free pass good for travel throughout the DART, Trinity Railway Express (TRE) and Fort Worth T systems, August 24 to August 30. The free pass, DART's latest Route-of-the-Week promotion, is a great opportunity to wrap up summer at one of the great entertainment venues served by public transit.
"Summer will be over before you know it, so don't pass up the chance for a last round of fun before the hectic fall schedule begins," said Micah Causey, DART assistant vice president, Marketing. "Music, dance, theater and more are all within easy reach on DART, the TRE and the T. And a free Route-of-the-Week pass gives you a special entertainment bonus."
To obtain your free Route-of-the-Week pass, simply visit DART.org and fill out a brief survey. While you're at the website, you can plan your trip using the online DART Trip Planner. Just tell Trip Planner where you are, where you want to go, and what time you want to leave. Trip Planner will do the rest, generating convenient step-by-step itineraries and the best ways to reach your destination by bus, train or a combination of both.
Some entertainment venues offer DART destination deals - discounts and other bargains exclusively for transit riders holding a valid DART or T ticket or pass. Several hundred restaurants, shops and attractions offer deals all the time as official destination partners. They're listed in the free DART destination deals guide available on DART.org, at downtown Dallas DART Stores, or by calling DART Customer Service at 214-979-1111.
Dining, retail or entertainment establishments wishing to be included in the next DART destination deals guide update should call 214-749-2677. All listed destinations must meet DART guidelines for inclusion.
