DART buses replace trains over Labor Day weekend in Plano
 Media Relations Contact: August 24, 2015 DART buses replace trains over Labor Day weekend in Plano UPDATE SEPTEMBER 6, 5 P.M.: DART has completed work in Plano and will resume rail service at Bush Turnpike, Downtown Plano and Parker Road stations Monday. All DART services will be on a Sunday schedule for the Labor Day holiday.
The relocation of an electrical utility building near DART's light rail tracks in Downtown Plano will require the closure of rail service at Downtown Plano and Parker Road stations. DART will replace rail at those stations with shuttle buses during the Labor Day weekend. On Saturday, Sunday and Monday, September 5, 6 and 7, the Red Line will terminate at Bush Turnpike Station. Buses will meet each arriving train and transport passengers to Downtown Plano and Parker Road stations. Southbound shuttles will serve Parker Road and Downtown Plano stations and transfer passengers back to trains at Bush Turnpike Station. Trains will depart Bush Turnpike Station at their regularly scheduled times. ![]() Buses will load and unload at the red "Rail Disruption" bus stops located at each station.
