December 17, 2002 Five park & ride locations serve New Year's Day football match-up
DART to the Texas-LSU game on the Cotton Bowl Flyer DART's Cotton Bowl Flyer will whisk Longhorn and Tiger fans to the SBC Cotton Bowl Classic on New Year's Day from five convenient locations.
Fans park free at five DART park and ride locations and travel in comfort to the New Year's Day game between the University of Texas and Louisiana State University for just $3 each way for adults. The fare is $2.50 each way for children ages 5-12 and adults 65 and older. Kids under 5 ride free.
Fans pay their fare when they board the bus at the park and ride locations. The fare is cash only, with exact change required, and no monthly passes or E-passes will be accepted. The first buses will leave the lots at 8 a.m., two hours prior to the 10 a.m. kickoff, and will drop off fans at the DART Flyer bus lot in Fair Park. Buses will leave the park & ride lots approximately every 15 minutes, with the final departure one hour before game time.

Mockingbird Station (Mockingbird Lane, east of North Central Expressway)
North Carrollton Transit Center (Trinity Mills Road at Dickerson Parkway)
West Plano Transit Center (West 15th Street at Coit Road)
Red Bird Transit Center (US Highway 67 at Hampton Road)
South Garland Transit Center (LBJ Service Road, between Shiloh Road and
Leon Road)
After the Game Return buses depart from the Pennsylvania Avenue exit at the conclusion of the game, with the last bus leaving Fair Park 30 minutes after the end of the game. Wheelchair lift-equipped buses are available.
