Create a memorable holiday for you and your guests

'tis the Season to Get Out and About on DART

The presents are opened. You've all had your fill of Christmas pie and TV. Cabin fever is setting in. Now what do you do?

Simple. Get aboard DART and explore the bounty of museums, movies and menus in the Metroplex.

Absorb abundant art

Taking DART makes it easy to share Dallas-Fort Worth's rich museum and gallery scene with your out-of-town visitors.

DART Rail delivers you to St. Paul Station in downtown Dallas, where a short walk puts you at the doorstep of the Dallas Museum of Art, the Trammell & Margaret Crow Collection of Asian Art and the new, acclaimed Nasher Sculpture Center. Also downtown, the Sixth Floor Museum, located steps from West End Station, is a must-see for any Dallas visitor.

For a change of pace and scenery, ride the DART Rail Red Line up to Downtown Plano and check out the Interurban Railway Museum. It's a delight for kids of all ages.

Over in Fort Worth, the Cultural District showcases art for every taste. Choose from the classic works at the Kimbell Museum or Modern Art Museum. Get a taste of the West at the Amon Carter Museum and the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame. Or explore the wonders of our world at the Fort Worth Museum of Science & History. Getting there couldn't be easier. Take the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) from Union Station to the Fort Worth Intermodal Transportation Center (ITC), then board Fort Worth T bus Route 7 to the Cultural District.

Find films for every taste
If movies are your ticket, DART can deliver you to first-run features and art house treasures. To check out the latest blockbusters, ride DART Rail to Walnut Hill Station and the AMC Glen Lakes, head to the United Artists Theater at Park Lane Station, or grab a seat at the Loews Cityplace 14 Theatre at Cityplace Station.

If your tastes run to the eclectic and avant-garde, two Dallas art houses are a quick DART trip away. The Angelika Film Center is right above the rail line at Mockingbird Station. And Magnolia Pictures is a quick walk or ride on the free M-Line Streetcar from Cityplace Station.

Fine films await you in Fort Worth, too. Take the TRE to the ITC and either take a short walk to Sundance Square or board T bus Route 1 or trolley Route 15. There you'll have plenty of cinema choices at the AMC Palace 9 Theatre and AMC Sundance 11.
