DART test trains up and running

The tests will be conducted on an almost daily basis until the section opens September 14. The tests are designed to evaluate the operation of the new light rail track and to familiarize rail operators with the operating characteristics of the trains on the new line. Be Safe: Start Looking for Trains The Green Line marks the return of rail service to some neighborhoods after a 50-year absence, so motorists have to remember to look for trains. Major train crossings on the corridor are clearly marked with signs, red flashing lights and crossing arms that come down prior to the train's arrival at the intersection. At other crossings DART trains will follow traffic signals. Pedestrians, cyclists and motorists also are urged to follow these critical safety precautions:
