With two million lights – not to mention dozens of animal-shaped light sculptures, lanterns, and more – the zoo grounds become a luminous seasonal display that dazzles. Check it out on select evenings through Jan. 4. The Red Line's Dallas Zoo Station is near the front entrance.

Northpark Center
The beloved holiday tradition boasts more than 750 railcars that run on a third of a mile of track – making this the biggest miniature train exhibit in Texas. DART proudly partners with the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas to support this beloved holiday tradition. To get to the event, take bus route 20, departing from Park Lane Station on the Red and Orange lines.

Main Street Garden
For the first time ever, Downtown Dallas’ Main Street Garden is transformed into a winter wonderland filled with ice skating, twinkling lights, and festive fun for the whole family. The park is a short walk from St. Paul Station on the Red Line, Blue Line, Green Line, and Orange Line.

Addison Circle
Addison Circle transforms into a winter wonderland where the whole family can enjoy sparkling lights and seasonal events. Get there by taking the Silver Line to Addison Station.

Winspear Opera House
The Sugar Plum Fairy, the Mouse King and all the rest are here in Texas Ballet Theater’s Dallas production of this time-tested seasonal classic. Walk to the venue from Pearl/Arts District Station on the Red Line, Blue Line, Green Line, and Orange Line.

Wyly Theatre
Dallas Theatre Center’s annual production has become known and loved for its always-spectacular sets and rousing music. The holiday favorite is walkable from Pearl/Arts District Station on the Red Line, Blue Line, Green Line, and Orange Line.

Vitruvian Park
The park is transformed into a magical holiday wonderland. Stroll through the park, enjoy the view, and grab dinner at local restaurants. To get there, catch GoLink from Farmers Branch Station on the Green Line.

The event features a tree lighting, real reindeer, a snow hill, and photos with Santa Claus. Get there by taking the Blue Line to Downtown Garland Station.

Grapevine’s Historic Main Street
The largest lighted Christmas parade in North Texas features more than 100 floats and marching bands. To get there, take the Silver Line to DFW Airport North Station, then Trinity Metro’s TEXRail to Grapevine/Main Street Station.

Granville Arts Center
Take a trip to fictitious Tuna, Texas! With dozens of costume changes and 22 characters played by just two actors, this play is a humorous, fun-filled look at small-town Christmas. The venue is right next to Downtown Garland Station on the Blue Line.

Downtown Carrollton
The square is filled festive lights and decorations, as well as the terrific one-of-a-kind shops that make it a destination year-round. Needless to say, Santa is in attendance. The celebration is a short walk from the Downtown Carrollton Station on the Green Line and the Silver Line.

Downtown Dallas
It’s a Dallas tradition dating back decades, and it takes place on Commerce, Harwood and Young streets. Access the Emmy-winning parade via West End, Akard and St. Paul stations, each on the Red Line, Blue Line, Green Line, and Orange Line; or EBJ Union Station on the Red Line and Blue Line, plus the TRE.

Farmers Branch Historical Park
The hidden gem of a park is all decked out for the season, and filled with live performances, carnival rides, an amazing holiday-themed drone show, and fireworks. You can walk to it from Farmers Branch Station on the Green Line.

Downtown Plano Arts District
Christmas past comes alive at this Victorian holiday event, with costumed characters, carolers, Santa, and a tree lighting in Haggard Park. Get off the train at Downtown Plano Station, and take a trip back in time. The station is on the Red Line.

Downtown Rowlett
The festivities include music, dancing and a holiday parade with creative floats. The parade begins at 6 p.m. Get in the spirit near Downtown Rowlett Station on the Blue Line.

See the lighting of an enormous holiday tree in the footlights of the dazzling Dallas skyline, and enjoy a visit from Santa. You can get there by taking a short walk from St. Paul Station on all four DART Rail lines.

Heritage Park
Irving’s celebration kicks off on Dec. 6 with a parade, tree lighting, and drone show. For two more weeks, the festivities continue with free family-friendly events every Friday and Saturday. The park is near Downtown Irving/Heritage Crossing Station along the TRE.

Downtown Dallas
Downtown Dallas rings in the New Year with a Texas-sized celebration featuring fireworks high above the city’s iconic Reunion Tower. EBJ Union Station on the Red Line and Blue Line puts you closest to the action.
